CONNECTION THAT HELPS
Sobriety community and private support
Share the difficult moments, learn what other people tried and give your own experience a place to help someone else.
What you can do in the community
Read member conversations, write a post, reply to someone else or save a discussion to revisit. You can use a nickname or an anonymous contribution, subject to the community rules.
Freedom’s existing product network includes thousands of active members. That refers to the wider product community, not installations of the unreleased mobile app. Member activity does not guarantee an immediate reply to a particular post.
- Ask a specific question about a situation you are preparing for.
- Share an approach that helped you, without presenting it as a treatment for everyone.
- Report harmful content, hide a thread or block an account when necessary.
Make your request easier to answer
A concrete situation gives other people more to work with than a general request for motivation. For example: “Friday after work is my hardest time. What do you do during that first hour at home?”
Leave out information you would not want other members to read or copy. A reply describes another person’s experience; it does not determine what is medically safe for you.
A private conversation is different
Private mentor messaging is separate from the member feed. You can write a message or record a voice note, listen before sending and decide whether to include basic goal and progress context.
These messages are linked to your app account and can be accessed by authorized support staff. Choosing not to use your real name in the community does not make your account or mentor messages anonymous to SK LABS.
Human replies depend on staff availability. The service is not continuously monitored and does not guarantee a response time. Additional mentor or therapist contact may involve separate fees and availability; check the terms shown for the service.
Support and treatment have different roles
The community and mentor chat do not diagnose conditions, provide medical care or manage alcohol withdrawal. Do not wait for an app reply when urgent help is needed.
Professional alcohol treatment can include behavioral care and medication. The NIAAA Alcohol Treatment Navigator helps US adults find qualified treatment providers.
Common questions
Can other members see my mentor messages?
Mentor conversations are separate from public community posts. They are linked to your account and accessible to authorized staff.
Does an anonymous post hide my identity from SK LABS?
No. An anonymous contribution changes what other members see; it remains linked to your account for the company and moderation.
Is a reply guaranteed within a few hours?
No. Human replies depend on staff availability. Do not use community posts or private messaging for urgent medical help.
