YOUR MONEY, RECLAIMED
Alcohol savings calculator
See what less alcohol could leave in your budget. Enter your usual weekly spending and the reduction you want to explore. Your result is an estimate, not a promise.
What could you save?
Start with what you usually spend in a week. Then choose how much you plan to reduce that spending.
Use your own estimate, including drinks bought at home and when going out.
100% means no alcohol purchases. 50% means spending half as much.
Example: $50 a week, with a 100% spending reduction. Change the values to see your estimate.
Estimated money not spent on alcohol
- In 7 days
- In 30 days
- In 365 days

Changing currency changes the unit you enter. It does not convert money or use exchange rates.
Start with spending you recognize
Think about an ordinary week rather than your most expensive night. Include the alcohol purchases you want to compare: for example, drinks at home and drinks bought when going out.
Use your own total if you have it. For irregular spending, add several representative weeks and divide by the number of weeks. The result is only as useful as the baseline you choose.
- Choose your currency; US dollars are the default.
- Enter a weekly spending amount, including zero if that is accurate.
- Choose a reduction from 0% to 100%. This is a spending scenario, not medical advice about how much to drink.
The calculation is simple
Estimated savings = weekly alcohol spending × reduction percentage ÷ 100 × number of days ÷ 7.
The three result periods are exactly 7, 30 and 365 days. A 30-day result is not a calendar-month forecast. A 365-day year contains slightly more than 52 weeks, so the annual figure is not simply the weekly amount multiplied by 52.
We assume the same baseline and the same reduction for the whole period. We round displayed currency amounts to two decimal places after calculation.
A $50-a-week example
Here is an illustration using $50 in weekly spending and a 100% spending reduction. Enter your own spending above to see an estimate that reflects your baseline.

| Period | Estimated spending avoided |
|---|---|
| 7 days | $50.00 |
| 30 days | $214.29 |
| 365 days | $2,607.14 |
What is outside the estimate
The calculator estimates avoided alcohol spending. It does not include replacement drinks, transport changes, medical expenses, income changes, inflation or subscription fees. If you spend some of the difference elsewhere, the amount left in your bank account will be lower.
Selecting a different currency changes the unit you are using; it does not convert an amount using an exchange rate. Enter a spending amount in the currency you select.
Reducing spending by a percentage is not necessarily the same as reducing the quantity of alcohol by that percentage. Prices, serving sizes and drinking locations vary. Do not use the result to assess alcohol consumption or withdrawal risk.
Your calculation stays in your browser
The calculator runs on this page without an account or email address. The spending and reduction values are not submitted to our server or added to a marketing profile. They are not saved as app progress.
Ordinary requests to load the website are separate from the calculation. Read the website’s privacy information for details about the service.
Give the estimate a practical purpose
Pick something specific you would like the money to support: a bill, a small emergency fund or an activity you have postponed. Revisit the estimate using actual spending after a few weeks.
If changing your drinking is the bigger goal, prepare for the situations that usually lead to a purchase. A spending total can be a reason to start; a workable plan helps with what happens next.
Common questions
Is this how much money I will definitely save?
No. It is an estimate based on your weekly spending and the reduction you choose. Actual savings depend on what you spend and what you buy instead.
Does changing currency convert my result?
No. There is no exchange-rate conversion. Enter your weekly spending in the selected currency.
Why is the annual result more than the weekly result times 52?
The annual estimate uses 365 days divided by 7. Exactly 52 weeks is 364 days.
Do you store my spending amount?
The calculator runs in your browser. Its spending and reduction inputs are not sent to our server or saved as app progress.
